AMANO Group offers employees new all-round well-being package
While the profits in the hotel and catering industry is slowly recovering after two and a half years of pandemic, the industry is facing a new challenge: the shortage of skilled workers and the search for staff. During this time, the AMANO Group is looking inwards, at its existing employees. The hotel group is creating the all-round well-being package "AMANO CARES (for you)" to improve the well-being of every team member. The owner of the AMANO Group, Ariel Schiff, sees the personal health and satisfaction as the basis for positive and cooperative work environment.
Berlin, November 2022. "After a prolonged lean period, many companies think about recouping missed revenue or worry about attracting new employees in times of a shortage of skilled workers," says Ariel Schiff, Managing Director of the AMANO Group, "however, the team that has led us through this crisis and continues to do so is just as important as looking to the future." For this purpose, the Berlin hotel group is creating the AMANO CARES (for you) wellbeing package. This combines proven amenities that team members of the AMANO Group have enjoyed for years and new, innovative components that will keep working at AMANO attractive in the future.
The target group of AMANO CARES (for you) is therefore the team consisting of approximately 400 people. From trainees to management level, the package will be increasingly communicated and offered from November onwards. AMANO CARES (for you) includes measures to ensure health, such as regular health checks by the doctor and support with supplementary health insurance as well as health maintenance measures such as fitness studio discounts. Furthermore, the package includes well-being measures such as free food at the hotel group's restaurants and bars, €50 pu monthly on an AMANO Credit Card, an AMANO hoodie, corporate benefits via an online platform applicable at many shops employee discounts as well as Family & Friends discounts.
"Certainly, we are not the first to offer such measures for our employees," says Schiff. "However, due to a lack of communication and actual provision, the offers often leave much to be desired. We will make the package available to our team members with particular pride and positive emphasis. Personal health is essential for a positive cooperation in the hotels but also for each individual. Today more than ever. And we as the AMANO Group would simply like to say thank you to our team."
The AMANO Group is a Berlin-based hotel company that currently owns eleven hotels, including eight in Berlin, one in Düsseldorf, one in Munich and one in London. The hotel project in Leipzig is under construction, and three more hotels are planned in Hamburg and Munich. Founded in 2009 by the Süsskind, Schiff and Rokeach families, the AMANO Group aims to design hotels that are integrated into the cultural life of a city. Therefore, all hotels follow the standard concept of offering sophisticated urban living in a central location at a fair price. This includes interior design and a level of service that far exceeds the three-star standard. With trend-setting gastronomy concepts such as restaurants, bars and a club as well as several roof terraces, the AMANO Group creates a lively exchange between the city and the hotel.
