The AMANO Group opens Hotel ROMY by AMANO at Berlin Central Station
Yesterday, the AMANO Group opened Hotel ROMY by AMANO, its 7th hotel in Berlin with 100 rooms. Next to the AMANO Grand Central hotel, it is the group's second hotel at Berlin's central railway station. Just like the Hotel ZOE at Hackescher Markt, the hotel is named after one of the daughters of the owner Ariel Schiff.
Berlin, 10.08.2021 With 100 rooms, a bar and a restaurant, the recently opened Hotel ROMY by AMANO is the latest project of the AMANO GROUP. Elegant design, dark wood tones and golden accents add the typical AMANO style to the new hotel. Both the construction of the building and the interior design were planned by the architectural company GBD. The hotel's central location at Berlin's main railway station offers both business travellers and tourists the ideal starting point for exploring Berlin. The conference rooms of the adjacent AMANO Grand Central, as well as its rooftop terrace and further event areas can be used for business events.
The heart of the new hotel is the restaurant with adjoining bar on the ground floor. This will open in October as 'Amigo Cohen' under the lead of the culinary director Ronen Dovrat Bloch. As the name suggests, this will be an exciting mixture of the Mexican and Israeli cuisine and a completely unique approach to date. By the time of its opening, the restaurant will already be available for exclusive events for up to 100 people. The rooms, all equipped with king-size beds (1.80 x 2.00 m), smart TV, minibar, safe, suite pads incl. telephony, GHD hairdryer, air conditioning, underfloor heating and floor-to-ceiling windows, are divided into five categories, ranging from Economy Room to Studio.
Economy Rooms: 18
Standard Rooms: 66
Comfort Rooms: 6
Corner Rooms: 5
The hotel also features an underground parking garage. Bicycles can be rented at the neighbouring AMANO Grand Central.
The AMANO Group currently owns nine hotels, seven in Berlin, one in Düsseldorf and one in Munich. A hotel in Leipzig and in London as well as another hotel in Berlin (EAST SIDE - opening autumn 2021) are under construction, two more hotels in Hamburg are in the planning stage. In total, the AMANO Group employs approximately 350 people. Despite all the differences in details, the hotels of the group follow a standard concept: the guest gets a first-class, urban living experience at a fair price. All hotels are centrally located in very attractive neighbourhoods. In all the hotels, guests can expect furnishings and fittings that exceed high standards: high-quality materials, modern interior design and a high level of living comfort. With trend-setting gastronomy concepts such as restaurants, bars, a club and several rooftop terraces, the AMANO Group manages to create a lively exchange between the city and the hotel. Currently, the AMANO Group operates three restaurants, five bars, three rooftop terraces and one club. The AMANO Group was founded in 2009 by Ariel Schiff and Artur Süsskind. Since 2010, Phillip Rokeach has been on board.
