Press release | New F-B team
The AMANO Group introduces a strong new F&B Team
The AMANO Group has positioned itself strongly in terms of human resources. In this way, the company aims to bring existing as well as new hotels and restaurant establishments further forward. Besides the desirable location of all hotels, the close connection to the "scene" has always been an important approach for the operators of the hotel group. "Characters who are well connected in the cities and have a knack for the special demands of our guests are essential for the success of our food establishments," says Ariel Schiff, operator of AMANO Hotels. The company supports you above all with trust and freedom, which is perfectly suitable for the development of restaurants.
Food & Beverage Manager:
Well-known in the "culinary scene" is Mario Brach, who previously used to be the F&B-, Operations- and HR Manager for all restaurants of the Grill Royal Group for ten years. Among others, he was responsible for the Grill Royal, Pauly Saal (1 Michelin star), Le petit Royal, Café Einstein, Kin Dee (1 Michelin star) and the Weinbar Freundschaft, among others.
Charalampos Apostolidis most recently worked as a F&B manager at the best-known 5-star resort Porto Sani in Chalkidiki, Greece and is now looking forward to the new professional challenge in Berlin. In Greece, Apostolidis was responsible for three restaurants and three bars. In Berlin, he will take over the operational management as well as the in-house service trainings to strengthen the group in this field.
Sven Cziasto, who among others used to be the bar manager at the Estrel and the Hotel Palace in Berlin will take over the F&B management of the hotel company together with Brach and Apostolidis. He will put a specific focus on all the bars of the hotel group and apply his longtime expertise to all events at the AMANO Group.
Director of Nightlife:
Those who are interested in Berlin's nightlife can't miss him Florian Preuß who has worked alongside Felix Brandt (PEAK Hospitality Group) for 14 years and has built up various clubs, including the Department Club, AVENUE, Bricks and in the past three years, the AMANO Group's 9Roses. He is the right contact for those looking to get the best table at many restaurants in the city and he will now continue his work in the nightlife scene as a permanent member of the AMANO Group. He will also be in charge of the group's restaurants and bars and new concept ideas.
Michael Peter Lucombe, a party icon of the British capital for 20 years has joined the team at the first international hotel of the company, AMANO Covent Garden, which will open its doors in London on 9 May 2022. He was previously responsible for the Momo Members Bar, the Light Bar in the St. Martins Lane Hotel and the Coya Members Club in Mayfair. He also worked as operations manager at The Mandrake Hotel and opening consultant for The Treehouse Hotel in London. In the near future, he will help to establish London's AMANO Bar and Rooftop Bar in the scene.
Director of Restaurants:
Henry Agajanjan, Director of Restaurants, has been a familiar face of the AMANO Group for many years and is indispensable in all of the hotel group's restaurants - whether it's about building up the well-established restaurant JOSEPH, opening of the new restaurant HABEIT shel AMANO or hosting of the popular ISRAMANI events, Agajanjan works on all existing and new concepts and always brings his own personality to all projects.
Director of Culinary:
Ronen Dovrat Bloch, Director of Culinary for the entire AMANO Group, joined the group last year and brings with him not only many awards and a lot of experience, but also his Israeli temperament with passion for the Israeli cuisine. He is well-known and recognized throughout Israel for his culinary achievements and currently he is focusing on the Amano Group's next two openings: the AMIGO Cohen restaurant at Hotel ROMY, which will open in autumn 2022, and the opening of the first international hotel, AMANO Covent Garden.
Director of Bars:
Can Kizilca is primarily responsible for the hotel group's bars. After previous career stations, such as at the well-known La Bru Bar in Rotterdam, he has been working for the AMANO group for four years. He started, at the multi-award-winning AMANO Bar, located in the heart of the AMANO Hotel. Currently, in his role as Director of Bars, he is responsible for daily operations of all bars belonging to the hotel group and for adding his creative input to all new projects of the AMANO Group.
Mario Grünenfelder, a successful consultant worldwide with his own company "Dirty Ducks" and former team member of the AMANO Group, now supports the group again and brings his many years of expertise to the table. In the past, he was in charge of the AMANO Group's first bar, the AMANO Bar, and he managed to place it as the first "hotel bar" into the Berlin scene. Nowaydays, he actively supports Ariel Schiff and his team by working on improvements of the AMANO outlets and by implementing new ideas.
About the AMANO Group
The AMANO Group is a Berlin-based hotel company that currently owns eleven hotels, including eight in Berlin, one in Düsseldorf, one in Munich and one in London. A hotel in Leipzig is under construction, and three more hotels are planned in Hamburg and Munich. Founded in 2009 by the Süsskind, Schiff and Rokeach families, the AMANO Group aims to design hotels that are integrated into the cultural life of the city. Therefore, all hotels follow the concept of offering sophisticated urban living in a central location at a fair price. This includes a unique interior design and a level of service that by far exceeds the three-star standard. Through trend-setting gastronomy concepts such as restaurants, bars and a club as well as several rooftop terraces, the AMANO Group creates a lively exchange between the city and the hotel.
